Review: XGear Spectre and XGRS4 - SIII
All this talk about tempered glass had me intrigued. Thought might as well acquire a case from XGear while I was at it.
Very simple. Peel, line up, stick and pop in to the case.
Examining the screen protector, I noticed that only the while parts have adhesive on the back. The center touch areas are just suspended. The space between the screens gives it a tacky feel. Not to touch, but the glass on glass contact. Sometimes it does have glass on glass contact and it shows that oily rainbow pattern.
Here you can see the raised edge. It's not too high, but it may have issues with other cases that wrap around for a deeper fit. One of the things that worries me about the Spectre is dust and debri. Pocket lint did fill the gap within 15 minutes. Didn't effect it, but it was highly noticeable on a white phone.
The proximity sensor is a little off or it just doesn't like the glass. I was in a call and could not get the screen back on. I had to wait until they hung up before I regained control of my phone. This was a huge inconvenience. After a couple calls, I had to remove it. The power button and volume buttons were completely unresponsive.
The clarity of the screen protector is excellent. Just like glass.
The aluminum finish on the XGRS4 is a nice touch. Has a premium feel. Case fit very well. Gives the phone a much more solid feel while offering the phone protection.
MSRP: Spectre is $29.99 and the XGRS4 is $19.99.

Review: DBA Cases Thin Grip - SIII
This review is quick and dirty. I was lucky to receive a case from DBA Cases. I didn't think I'd like the case, but I was wrong. There is no bulk and the Thin Grip resolves the slippery phone issue. This case is now my daily.
The case is made with the same material found in bullet resistant glass and materials in a F22 Fighter Jet cockpit. I questioned this, but with a little bit of flexing, it was there. The cuts and finish are next to flawless. One of the best I've seen so far. The case does lock in place, so you don't have to worry about it falling offer like other cases.
There is enough room for the edges to keep the screen off the surface you put it down on. You can see that the button cut outs are very generous and easy to use. I would have prefer the logo be on the inside for a cleaner look, but that's just my preference. The soft finish seems to hold up. Hopefully it doesn't peel like other cases.
Using "Olympics" on your order will give you 20% off!
This is one case that I am adding to my personal collection. I'm really like how thin the case is. It's not as flimsy as the Feather cases. I don't see it cracking like they do.
The case is $21.99 at DBA Cases. It is available in Black, Blue Slate, Maroon, Silver and Snow.
DBA Cases also offers an impressive screen protector. Just Like Glass

Review: Spigen SGP Curved Glass and Valentinus - SIII
The cases I am getting to review are just getting better and better. The quality of the Spigen SGP cases are superb. None of the other dry application screen protectors fit. But Spigen SGP came to save us. The Valentinus I review is Vintage Brown.
The Curved Crystal Screen Protector includes:
Two Steinheil Curved Crystal Screen Protectors, a micro-fiber cloth and a squeegee.
This is the Curve Crystal Screen Protector applied. It was easier than I thought. Just line it up and lay it down. Squeegee like normal.
Cut-outs are accurate. Camera does not show signs of interference.
Room for 3 cards and some bills.
MSRP: $15.99 Curved Crystal
$39.99 - $54.99 Valentinus Wallet Case - Available in 8 different variations.
